Ann Burnham

Ann Burnham, CLM - I am a happily married mom of three grown children with six grandchildren. My husband Ted and I have been married almost 36 years. I retired a few years ago from a secular career in Human Resources.

We moved to Plymouth in 2009, after living in the same house in Newburyport for 37 years to be closer to our family. We moved from the smallest city in Massachusetts to the largest town in Massachusetts. We were very active in the North Shore (Byfield United Methodist Church), where we had a wonderful church family.  After being in Plymouth for a year, we joined the Swift Memorial UMC located in Sagamore Beach.

I felt God calling me for some time and He did at Swift.  At first as a bookkeeper, but after a couple of years I  really felt a tugging and decided to take the Basic Lay Servant course and then I heard His call loud and clear and took the steps to become a Certified Lay Minister. My husband and I love our church family and we love being a part of Central UMC as well.  We believe in volunteering to give back to the communities in which we live so Ted has been volunteering at the Beth Israel Deaconess in Plymouth for 10 years and I serve on the Conservation Commission in Plymouth.

We love to sing in the Church Choir at Swift and we have enjoyed singing in the Plymouth Festival Chorus as well.  I am honored and delighted to be part of the ministry team at CUMC and pray I serve both our Church and the Lord well.
